The Wye Glamping Experience

Mountain sky lines, starry nights, and nothing but the sound of birdsong and a babbling brook. Wye Glamping is the ultimate stress free holiday. Many years of holidaying with our young family in our VW has sharpened our eye for detail. We’ve thought of everything, from providing a cheese grater and tin foil in the kitchen, to hand sanitiser in the loo and logs and firelighters for the wood burner.

What you need to bring

Hopefully we have provided most things you will need for your stay, however below are a few suggestions of additional things you may wish to bring to make yourselves even more comfortable:

  • Wellies/or crocs, especially for children. There is no need for you to ever get muddy at Wye Glamping as there are gravel paths to all the pitches, however if the children (or you!) are likely to want to splash in the stream, or you want to wander around the local countryside, you are likely to need them. They are also good for kicking off when entering the yurt or tent.

  • Soft shoes/slippers for inside the yurt.

  • Warm clothes, it can get quite chilly in the evenings.

  • A torch, we provide plenty of solar lighting and tea light lanterns at each camp. There is also a light in the shower room, however it can get very dark at night when going between the two.

  • Linen/sleeping bags for the single beds and cot bedding if the cot has been requested.

During your stay

It’s so lovely here that you may not feel the need to leave at all during your stay, with plenty to do on site. However, for those who like to venture out, we have plenty of suggestions for places you might like to visit, local tips on where to eat and ideas for days out.
